Morris, King and Hodge P.C Hunstville Personal Injury Law Firm Video

Scholarship Details

Texting and driving poses a serious safety hazard for all drivers across the United States. To spread the message about the dangers of texting and driving, Morris, King & Hodge, P.C., is sponsoring the 11th Annual Driver Safety Scholarship program. Our law firm will award three scholarships to 2025 graduating seniors in Colbert, Cullman, Jackson, Lauderdale, Lawrence, Limestone, Madison, Marshall or Morgan Counties high schools and/or rising freshmen in Alabama colleges and universities who create an original written or video essay explaining the dangers of texting and driving and practical steps to ending this momentous problem. Sending text messages takes drivers’ eyes off the road, their hands off the wheel and their mind off the task of driving and remaining alert for oncoming traffic.

What can we do as a community to convey to young drivers that texting and driving leads to serious and avoidable accidents? We’re confident our young people have some good ideas. To enter the program, you’ll need to submit a written essay with at least 1000 words or a video essay between 5-6 minutes in length. We’re seeking clever, well-researched ideas that offer a fresh take on the dangers of texting and driving. The tone can be light-hearted or serious, as long as it’s informative, helpful and original.

As a law firm active in Huntsville, Alabama, Morris, King & Hodge, P.C., is dedicated to making our state a safer place to live and raise families. We recognize our young people are our communities’ most precious resource. We are committed to helping students across the country receive a college education to pursue their career goals.

We wish you the best of luck and look forward to receiving your scholarship program entries.
